Tonny Leijnse and Shahayra Leijnse- Nicolaas, founders of the kunuku arawak.

Starting in 1996 as Kunuku Porta Spano, they decided to build a place in 2010 in memory and to honor the original inhabitants of Bonaire, the Arawak Indians.

Tonny was born in holland and probably one of the most integrated people together with his wife Sasha who is a straight descendant of the Arawak family, they are a very well-known couple on Bonaire. The Kunuku Arawak was opened in October 2011.
